‘LOVE ME TENDER – Rebirth Day 2015’

Come to the Centre for Fine Arts at 12:30 on Friday, 18 December and participate in Michelangelo Pistoletto’s ‘Rebirth Day’.

Every year, the Italian artist renews his plea for the rebirth of society. His ‘Rebirth’ symbol is a revision of the mathematical symbol for infinity: between the two circles of the horizontal figure eight he adds a third circle that stands for the ‘Third Paradise’. “Il Terzo Paradiso siamo noi”, he says, “together we make the world a paradise”, where the artificial world created by man and the natural world finally reconcile.

BOZAR is making its contribution and is placing the monumental Horta Hall at the disposal of the Belgian artist Jan De Cock. At 12:30 on Friday, Jan de Cock, together with 300 students from his Brussels Art Institute (BAI), will be presenting the performance Love Me Tender which you can also watch via livestreaming on the Twitter and Facebook of BOZAR.
