‘Love is Louder: Love Brunch – “Tango, mon Amour”’

Maria Martinova's latest album Tango, mon Amour (out on 25 October) is a love letter to the spellbinding world of tango. The revolutionary work of Astor Piazzolla introduced Martinova to this universe and never let go of her afterwards. Tango has undergone a fascinating transformation, with roots in Angola and influences from Italian canzonetta, French chanson, klezmer, jazz and classical music. With that international genesis in mind, Martinova plays original compositions and arrangements for piano that celebrate the work of some of tango's great masters. Tango couple Céline Ruiz and Diego Amado will translate the genre to the dance floor. The audience will sit in between and enjoy a delicious brunch in the meantime.
