‘Loin de Linden’

These two grandmothers have nothing in common: social class, language, their views of the world... Brought together this one time by their grandson, the two senior citizens, masterfully portrayed by Véronique Dumont and Valérie Bauchau, have not seen each other since their children’s wedding years before, even though they both live in Linden. The two ladies open up, recounting, through their stories, the story of Belgium, from memories of the war, to conflicts of language and prejudices. A touching and serious work by Veronika Mabardi.
