Experiencing and loving life beyond the age of eighteen, diving into a carefree summer, suddenly losing your best friend, realizing that nothing lasts forever, or having those life-changing encounters that lead you towards maturity.
In a gentle and severe tone, director Émilie Aussel introduces us to her film, co-written by novelist Emmanuelle Bayamack-Tam. They both share a passion for youth, with all its intensity, drama, and the interiority of romance.
Émilie Aussel was born in Montpellier in 1980. She studied video art and art installations at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. Aussel turned to fiction cinema in 2009 with her first short film, L'Ignorance invincible, that was followed by three others that were recognized at several international festivals. L’Été l’éternité is her first feature film.
