A+ and BOZAR are pleased to invite Stephen Taylor to talk about his work. He founded his practice in London in 1993 and has since designed projects in both the public and private sectors. His interventions are simple and inventive in terms of form and materials. His architecture practise has won a number of awards: AYA Masterplanning Architect of the Year (2010), AYA Residential Architect of the Year (2009), RIBA Award (2009, 2007). Convinced of the emotional effect that architecture can have through its physical presence he pays particular attention to the visual and sensory aspects of his projects through a careful working of materials and a keen sense of detail. In Belgium he is currently working on the Cadiz housing project in Antwerp together with the Dutch practice Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven. For many years Stephen Taylor has taught at a number of prestigious universities and colleges (The Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University, etc.).
