‘Lecture by Carme Pigem (RCR)’

- 20:00

In November, at the request of A+ and BOZAR, the celebrated architect Carme Pigem is coming to talk to us about the approach of RCR Arquitectes.

The Spanish architectural firm, founded back in 1988, won the Pritzker Prize this year. A few years ago their Museum Soulage in the French region of Rodez attracted a lot of positive attention in the international press. Following an initial collaboration with the Ghent architectural firm Coussée & Goris they decided to reignite their collaboration in Belgium, this time at the Waalse Krook in the historic centre of Ghent. The Generalitat de Catalunya National Prize of Culture (2005), the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres conferred by the French Republic (2008) and the monography which the architecture periodical El Croquis dedicated to their bureau in 2012, are a few examples of the international recognition their practice has gained.
