Lecture

This 7 March, BOZAR and A+ Architecture in Belgium will be playing host to Arno Brandlhuber and Christopher Roth. Since the beginning of his career, the Berlin-based architect has questioned the laws controlling our environment and worked on projects which embody the relationship between legislative framework and architecture, like Anti Villa, or his own offices on Brunnenstrasse. The law is there to serve a larger social and urban project. Sometimes, he is also an activist - with poster campaigns, or satirical documentaries. He is thus a talented architect, a committed teacher and an attentive participant in the public debate. His approach is a reminder that the law serves society and not the other way around.

This conference follows on from the publication of the February edition of A+, devoted to the complex relationship between architecture and the law, in which Arno Brandlhuber developed his theses.
