Le Concert d’Astrée is joining forces with the top singer Magdalena Kožená to embark upon French Baroque arias. A piece of cake for the ensemble, which has been in residence at the Opéra de Lille since 2004. During this period covering more than 10 years, the myriad Baroque operas it has performed include those by the composers Lully and Rameau. The Czech mezzo-soprano is also thoroughly at home with French Baroque. Her extensive discography includes Rameau’s Dardanus opera, with Les Musiciens du Louvre and Marc Minkowski. The CD has been awarded numerous prizes, including a Diapason d’Or.
