Miguel Ángel is an old-school projectionist who has been organising open-air screenings for decades. Recently, he witnessed the end of the celluloid era and the rise of expensive digital projections. As a result, this summer’s screenings could be the last.

Born in 1977, Leire Apellaniz López is a director, producer and screenwriter. She was head of the technical department for the San Sebastian IFF and the Seville European FF. Since 2011, she has also produced several films through her production company, Sr & Sra. The Last Summer is her first film as a director.
