‘Laryssa Kim: Contezza’

Laryssa Kim’s new album Contezza represents a path from mental prison to liberation: from blind and fearful love to vast and unconditional Love for life, for the self and for others. It is a journey of becoming aware of who you really are.  

Laryssa Kim’s fascination with the dreamworld results in a surreal musical universe and a performance in which body and voice, images, lights and fragrances blend into one inseparable whole. We are part of a ritual, an oneiric trance that activates all our senses and challenges our perceptions.  

The Italo-Congolese singer and composer Laryssa Kim started her musical journey in Rome with Reggae. Based in Brussels since 2013, she got into electroacoustic music, and she has pursued a bachelor's and a master's degree in acousmatic music composition at the Royal Conservatory of Mons. From 2015 onwards, she has developed her most personal project under her own name. In her productions she synthesizes the different faces of her musical path by combining the research and experimental approach of the acousmatics with the soulful influences she has from all kinds of music.
