Reinterpreting Bach - A contemporary vision
Bach through fresh eyes and in young hands: this is naturally the true heart of the Bach Heritage Festival and this concert will certainly be a highlight in that respect. Things moved at an extraordinary pace for this young ensemble in their home country: from the classroom in the academy to residencies in the greatest musical institutions in Spain in a matter of years - and gathering a series of prestigious prizes along the way. Meanwhile, they are making a clear international breakthrough with special refined interpretations, which literally uncover every rhetorical and emotional layer in a piece. Their colourful and authentic historical approach is applied not only in their repertoire of Spanish baroque, but also to German masters Handel and Telemann. And, as you might expect during our festival, also to Bach, as the greatest one of all.
