‘Landstück (Piece of Land) - Volker Koepp’

Every year Brussels puts on three major German film festivals: the Berlinale Forum, DOK Leipzig and the Duisburger Filmwoche.

In 2017, the Duisbourg German language documentary film festival is returning to Belgium for the second time with a screening of the première of Volker Koepp’s film “Landstück”, in the presence of the director. This film was shot in the rural landscapes of North East Germany, the land of which has been farmed for several centuries. It depicts the life of inhabitants of this sparsely populated region. Neighbours, villagers, newcomers, farmers and environmentalists talk about their daily life, their problems and their vision of the future.
