Robert Wilson, High definition video, 2013, Music by Michael Galasso

On the BOZAR Music Opening Night, we take a look not only at the ways in which we listen to music and at music's temporal dimension, but we once again bring different artistic disciplines together. So, as you make your way through the Centre's corridors, you will come across an installation by Robert Wilson, a leading practitioner of video portraiture. Using ultra-slow-motion techniques, he creates tableaux that at first sight seem immobile, but that actually change very slowly. Two years ago, Wilson made 22 such video portraits of Lady Gaga for the Louvre, one of which, based on a portrait by Ingres of Mademoiselle Caroline Rivière, you can see at BOZAR.
