‘La Fura dels Baus & Divina Mysteria - SOLD OUT’

Most of Bach's cantatas were commissioned by the Lutheran church and in service of God. In his Bauerncantate, however, biblical figures make way for everyday characters. Downstage are two peasants who are fed up with the corrupt practices of a tax collector.  This socially-critical cantata is in the safe hands of the experimental theatre collective La Fura dels Baus and the baroque ensemble Divina Mysteria. They provide an idiosyncratic interpretation with the addition of electronic music, flamenco, grandiose images and contemporary poetry.
