Orchestra in Residence

Joining forces with the Concertgebouworkest, the Hungarian conductor and composer Peter Eötvös is performing the Belgian premiere of his Multiversum, a work that draws its inspiration from cosmological concepts, such as string theory and parallel universes. He is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the merger of the cities of Buda and Pest with the Bartók Dance Suite, which is inspired by the folk culture the composer was so fond of. Also on the programme are Schoenberg and Stravinsky. The latter's Symphony in Three Movements is a musical expression of the sufferings of the Second World War.
