Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-, BAFTA- and Grammy-nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannsson’s music is a unique blend of electronics and classical orchestration incorporating elements of drone and minimalism.
He has written soundtracks for numerous films (Arrival, Prisoners, Sicario and the Theory of Everything), released albums on renowned labels as 4AD and Deutsche Grammophon, collaborated with Marc Almond, Tim Hecker, Barry Adamson and Stephen O' Malley and created compositions for theatre and dance. At BOZAR, he will be performing music from his album Orphée (2016) and older material. He will be joined by the Belgian Echo Collective and some special guests.
