Solo in the exhibition of Yves Zurstrassen

Belgian painter Yves Zurstrassen is a lover of jazz. Indeed music – and jazz in particular – is heavily present in his creative process. Double bass legend Joëlle Léandre is one of his biggest idols. This autumn she plays two concerts at BOZAR: one in our studio, one in an exhibition space surrounded by Zurstrassen's abstract canvasses. Léandre will enter into personal dialogue with the works, some of which were conceived to the sound of her music. Visual art in a deeply fascinating interaction with music.
