Korhan Futaci & Kara Orchestra Istanbul-born saxophonist, producer, author-composer-performer, Korhan Futaci is a committed artist whose texts denounce the failings of the contemporary Turkish regime. Going beyond the limits of free jazz, he has already collaborated with numerous international artists such as Peter Brötzmann, Evan Parker, Marshall Allen and Jo McPhee. At BOZAR he will be performing his latest opus – a mix of psychedelic jazz rock, free jazz and Turkish rhythms from the Ottoman tradition. Aided by the marvellous sonorities of the Kara Orchestra, Korhan Futaci’s concerts, tinged with intensity, spirituality and sensuality don’t leave anyone indifferent.
