Interactive concert with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra

Secondary education

Direction : Wynton Marsalis

This season BOZAR is focusing on one of the greatest American composers and jazz legends: Duke Ellington! Along with the legendary jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra takes your pupils with it on a swinging journey through the United States, from Washington D.C. to New York. Marsalis lets them see and hear how, starting out from the blues, Duke Ellington developed a new musical language which would change the musical landscape for ever. The young people are given a few listening aids in order to better understand jazz music and experience it more intensely.
