‘Janler Méndez Castillo’

Janler Méndez Castillo was born in Villa Clara (Cuba) in 1972. He trained at the School of Art in Havana and at the Samuel Fejioo Professional Art School in Villa Clara. He uses many forms of visual expression to portray daily life. An excellent drawer, he is aware of reality’s nuances and often introduces a touch of humour to his award-winning artistic productions. His performances, installations, videos and photos have been exhibited in the United States, Mexico, Cuba and Belgium as part of group and solo exhibitions.
