Telemann: Concertos
Isabelle Faust is a violinist with a passion for authenticity and Baroque textures. She adds her violin to the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and its soloists for a celebration of the concerto repertoire of Georg Philipp Telemann, a composer whose beautiful and imaginative work still awaits full recognition. From the marvellous harmonic friction of the Violin Concerto in A minor TWV 51:a1 to the triumphant accents of the Concerto for trumpet, violin, cello and basso continuo TWV 53:D5, and the third of the Six Corelliant Trio Sonatas (TWV 42:h3) and its wonderful counterpoint, Isabelle Faust, Akamus, its concertmaster Bernhard Forck and trumpeter Ute Hartwich will flood the Henry Le Boeuf Hall with the delicately touching beauty of Telemann's work.
