One day the call they had been waiting for, for a long time arrives: their adoption application has been accepted. The baby is adorable, he is 6 months old, his name is Benjamin. He is blond and blue-eyed. They are… black.

Lucien Jean-Baptiste left Martinique at age 3. He became an actor, filmmaker and script writer in France. In 1998 he got his first film starring role in Du bleu jusqu’en Amérique by Sarah Levy. This is followed by La Première Etoile (2009) the first film Jean-Baptiste directs and also stars in the main role. In 2012 he co-wrote, co-produced and starred in 30°Couleur, a comedy centered on the theme of returning to one’s home country, based on his personal experience. His third film Dieumerci! was released in 2016. Il a déjà tes yeux is his latest production.
