The German-Russian pianist Igor Levit concludes his cycle of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas with what could be referred to as the "holy trinity" of the piano repertoire: the final three Sonatas no. 30, 31 and 32. All the explorations carried out by Beethoven in his earlier sonatas come together in a perfect synthesis of light airs and complex fugues, moments of introspection and explosions of feelings.
