‘Holly Herndon A/V show’

26 Sept.'17
- 22:00

The American Holly Herndon fell in love with polyphonic choir music in her church in Tennessee, and discovered the Berlin clubs as an exchange student.  These two extremes can be found in her own music, which always starts with her own voice. She sings, whistles, hums and samples and lets her voice flow into layered electronic contemporary compositions. To this she adds acoustic sounds (breaking glass, dancing bodies), and the transient beats and deep sound of the Berlin club scene. The result is both organic and controlled, cerebral and accessible. She accompanied Radiohead on their most recent tour. The visuals in BOZAR are by her permanent assistant Matt Dryhurst.
