At the invitation of Michel François, former exhibition warden Philippe Bertels guides you through his exhibition
The heritage warden steps out of his anonymous role! Once upon a time, Philippe Bertels was one of the many almost invisible guardians of the exhibitions and artworks at the Centre for Fine Arts. He wrote a novel about his experiences, titled Le Gardien (The Warden, 2016). At the invitation of Michel François, he now returns to Bozar for a tour of his exhibition. From his role as heritage warden, Bertels takes you inside the exhibition to restore the creative importance of cross-pollination between artworks, artists, guides, and visitors. It offers a unique glimpse into the mind of a silent witness to the past and present of the Centre for Fine Arts.
