Hof van Eede
The diary of artist Edgard Weiss is a source of immense joy for three young actors in need of a hero. They are so lost in admiration for this imaginary character that they forget who they actually are. And this can have serious consequences: countless readers of Goethe’s masterpiece Die Leiden des jungen Werther [The Sorrows of Young Werther] were so caught up in the book that, like Werther, they committed suicide. However, unlike the “Werther effect”, Hof van Eede’s the “Weiss effect” is a festive homage to life.
