‘Ghost Hunting - Raed Andoni’

The Palestinian director Raed Andoni has organised a casting of actors and building professionals. All of them, like him, have experienced the Moskobiya, the main Israeli interrogation centre. Together, they reconstruct this detention facility in which former prisoners (re)enact cross-examinations and sequestration. In this re-enactment at times they play the role of torturers, at times that of victims, in a cathartic approach which is both disturbing and moving. As the walls of the cells rise and the reconstruction advances, tongues loosen and emotions are released.
