‘Geomungo Factory’

Four musicians from Seoul offer a contemporary take on Korean geomungo music. The geomungo is a traditional zither dating back to the fourth century. Geomungo Factory has taken this ancient instrument into the 21st century with a mix of traditional rhythms and new sounds. Simon Broughton of the London Evening Standard was moved to declare, "Whatever you call it, it is original, powerful and thrilling. And certainly like nothing you have ever heard before."
