Since its creation in 1832 as the Musique Particulière du Roi, the identity of the Musique Royale des Guides has rested on the following foundations: its structure of complete wind orchestra backed by a unique corps of buglers, its classical repertoire originating from a unique heritage of works composed or arranged specifically for it, the talents of its musicians, and, last but not least, a succession of prestigious conductors.
