‘Farida Parveen x Laurent Cuniot - "Trans-Portées"’

Four Western soloists and four Bangladeshi musicians come together to share two musical realms: the oral tradition of Farida Parveen, a song of structure and ecstasy based on the Indian raga on the brink of Sufi vertigo, and the contemporary Western composition of Laurent Cuniot, an intense language set alight by lyricism. His composition Trans-portées weaves together the spirituality of the songs of Lalon (Fakir Lalon Shah) and the hymns to absolute love by the poet Muhammad Manzur. It interweaves the impulses of the heart and mind, but also the meeting of two worlds that might appear far apart in space and time. Emotional and spiritual vibrations guaranteed!
