A historical perspective on Brexit by Ivo van de Wijdeven

Ivo van de Wijdeven takes us on a journey through history with the help of his book, De nieuwe rafelrand van Europa [The New Fringe of Europe]. He sheds new light on Europe’s longstanding love-hate relationship with the United Kingdom.

Ivo van de Wijdeven (1979) is a historian and political analyst at the Dutch Ministry of General Affairs. He also writes articles for a range of media. He has previously published De rafelranden van Europa [The Fringes of Europe] and De spoken van Visegrád [The Ghosts of Visegrád].
