Four couples struggle on the edge of mother Europe. In countries troubled by economic and social crises, they stumble through life with charm, sex and plenty of passion – a film about the politics of love.

Jan Gassmann
Born in 1983, Jan Gassmann is a Zurich-based director. His first documentary Chrigu premiered at the 57th Berlinale and won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. In 2011, he directed his first feature film Off Beat which was first screened in the Panorama section at the Berlinale. With his next documentary Karma Shadub, he won the Grand Prix at the Visions du Réel festival in 2013. He was involved in the making of Heimatland, a collective work, screened at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2015.
