‘ET VIENDRA LE FEU - Oliver Laxe’

3 Dec.'19
- 20:00

Amador Coro has been convicted of arson. When he comes out of prison, no one is waiting for him. He returns to his village, nestled in the mountains of Galicia, where his mother, Benedicta, lives with her three cows. Their lives flow, following the peaceful rhythm of nature. A delicate and sensitive portrayal, which makes for a captivating and exceptionally subtle film.

Born in 1982, Oliver Laxe grew up between France, Spain and Morocco. His first two feature films won awards at the Cannes Film Festival: You all are Captains received the FIPRESCI award at the Directors’ Fortnight in 2010, and Mimosas won the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique in 2016. His third film, Fire will Come, was shot in Galicia, the land of his ancestors, and received the Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
