El Comité is an Afro-Cuban collective of seven talented musicians that fuses Afrobeat, funk and Latin jazz. Pianists Harold Lopez-Nussa and Rolando Luna, winners of the Montreux solo piano competition, contribute to the richness of the compositions. The rhythm section, led by Gaston Joya and Rodney Barreto, with Yaroldy Abreu Robles on percussion, drives the quirky sound. Last but not least, the horn section with Carlos Sarduy Dimet and Irving Acao adds to the group's eclecticism and virtuosity, making the music captivating and universally appealing. After a three-year-long European tour, the collective will present its second and new album Carousel at Bozar. Ready for an experience full of irresistible energy?

DJ Jigüe

Isnay Rodriguez, alias DJ Jiguë, is a pioneer in the fusion of traditional and electronic rhythms. He began his career in 2015 by founding Guampara Music, Cuba's first independent urban music label. Since then, he has collaborated with well-known artists such as acid jazz legend Gilles Peterson and performed at major international festivals such as WOMEX and South by Southwest. He has also appeared in Vice and BBC documentaries and is the lead actor in Bakosó: AfroBeats of Cuba. In 2023, he starred and produced De la Calle on MTV. His style, called "AfroFuturismoTropical", is a vibrant exploration of cultures and sounds.
