‘Duo Mathis’

​​​​​​Father and son duo – Patrick and Jonathan Mathis – combine their musical sensibilities in a playful and experimental duet. Two old barrel organs are the binding element here. Together, they explore various musical domains from jazz (Miles Davis!) to pop, and from existing compositions to their own work. 

Duo Mathis challenges the tempo, disrupts the mechanical organ, and plays with musical writing. Thus, musician and instrument become one. It’s a surprising musical experience where grooves are never far away.
