Created in 2003, Dubioza Kolektiv is a Bosnian group which combines traditional sounds with multiple contemporary influences such as ska, reggae, hip-hop and electronic music. The success of Dubioza Kolektiv has not gone unnoticed in a region that at the time was in the middle of a period of economic stagnation. The group wanted to change people’s habits and release local music production from its relative inertia. Since their first album in 2004, the musicians have had numerous successes including “Blam”, from the soundtrack to the film On the Path by Jasmila Žbanić, a Bosnian director who won the Golden Bear at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival, for One Day in Sarajevo
Dubioza Kolektiv is particularly sensitive to social issues and has dedicated its latest album “Happy Machine” to the demonstrations in Turkey and the Syrian migrant crisis, where people have been left to fend for themselves in a climate of relative indifference. Breaking down boundaries, be they geographic or artistic, the group has collaborated with artists such as Manu Chao, Benji Webbe of Skindred and Dzambo Agusev.

Kick-ass from start to finish, Dubioza Kolektiv marries power and positivity...”(PopMatters)
“The best thing at Paléo is coming across a band you’d never heard of before, and get totally blown away. This is what happened to me yesterday with Dubioza Kolektiv... “ (livinginnyon.com)
