Paola Vigano, Eduardo Suplicy and Jimmy Wales bring together their utopias

On 2 February, the catholic University of Louvain will present the following three international personalities with an honorary degree. Paola Vigano, an Italian architect and town planner, the Brazilian Eduardo Suplicy, father of the guaranteed basic income and Jimmy Wales, the American cofounder of Wikipedia. What do they all have in common? An irrepressible enthusiasm for giving life to utopias they continue to support, 500 years on from the publication of Thomas More’s Utopia. As part of the UCL’s Rendez-Vous in Brussels programme, the day after the academic ceremony all three will be here at BOZAR to present their utopias and compare them with those of some guests : Philippe Van Parijs (professor and director of the Hoover Chair of economic and social ethics), Béatrice Delvaux (chief editor of the newspaper le Soir), Paul Dujardin (CEO-artistic director), ...
