Bernard van Orley. BRUSSELS AND THE RENAISSANCE

Primary school and academies (6>12)

Paint me a Picture!

Embark on an adventure through the portraits from a different era during BOZAR's discovery tours. The guide zooms in on the lives of your pupils today. He creates links with the sixteenth-century universe of Bernard van Orley and stimulates the imagination of the children with a bag full of creative materials.

But who was Bernard van Orley? He was an important man from Brussels. The friend of kings and other powerful figures. He made their portraits and designed expensive tapestries and stained-glass windows for them. In his famous studio, exciting scenes emerged from a time full of wealth, knights and kings. Just like Bernard van Orley, BOZAR transforms your pupils into artistic centipedes by making up new stories drawn from their own experiences!
