‘DIS-MOI WIE IK BEN - AÏCHA CISSE ET AMINATA DEMBA’

Aïcha Cissé and Aminata Demba were born in Antwerp, Belgium. Their parents arrived in the 1970s from Mali and Senegal. They settled in the Antwerp diamond dealers’ area and didn’t intend to stay but life decided otherwise. In this performance, the actors take us with them in their quest. To retrace the paths of their multiple identities they look deep into themselves and into their family stories…
