Leading ambassadors for Israeli label Malka Tuti, Die Orangen have emerged as one of 2018’s most talked-about acts. Made up of Kris Baha and Dreems (who also runs the label), Die Orangen’s live sound spans a wide musical spectrum ranging from ambient to leftfield, with detours into downtempo, tribal and psychedelic rock. The duo mixed this cocktail of genres to devastating effect on their debut double album, Zest, recorded earlier in the year using traditional instruments, percussion and an analogue studio set-up.
