Bach & Glass
Amsterdam violinist Diamanda La Berge Dramm has a nose for adventure, which has already turned the Netherlands upside down. From her classical training, she plays Bach and Cage just as easily, recently adding her own compositions. While bowing, fingerpicking, scratching and even singing, the young thirty-something shows how surprising the violin can sound. An organ pedal and kick drum are additional tools to translate her emotions into music. ‘I really enjoy exploring how my body relates to sound. I try to find out where those sounds exist and what my intuition, voice and feet have to say to them.’ Her sublime technique has already taken her far - prove the international awards - her singularity takes her even further.
