‘Dakh Daughters freak-cabaret show’

Ukrainian Spring will begin with a concert by the Dakh Daughters. The contemporary arts centre Dakh found prominence in the freak cabaret genre through the theatricality of its performances, associating visual extravagance, classical instruments and sound experiments.
The Dakh Daughters have performed all over Ukraine, but also in Belgium, Austria, Germany, Poland, Brazil and France, where they triumphed in Paris’s renowned Le Trianon theatre.
Ruslana Khazipova, a member of the group, also appears in the film The Wild Fields, which will be screened during the festival.
