Singing Brussels Celebration

Da Cagile

Bruno Crabbé, conductor

Based in Saint-Gilles, the Da Cagile choir is characterised by its stylistic openness and its constant pursuit of high quality sound and interpretation. Whether they’re singing Mozart, Bernstein, Renaissance, opera, jazz or Argentinian music, nothing can stop these enthusiastic singers. Their motto: Quality meets diversity!

Vocaal Ensemble Seicento
The name Seicento reveals this choir’s predilection for music of the Renaissance and the early Baroque. The choir wants to reintroduce audiences to the genre of old vocal music, in which composers from the Low Countries played such a prominent role for over 200 years. Humour is paramount in many of these renaissance chansons. Contemporary audiences can still identify with the situations they describe, meaning they can easily be transposed to the 21st century. As a result, this dynamic ensemble has no problems immersing itself in this repertoire, while respecting the original interpretation of these works.
