A Liquid Narrative Throughout The City With Serge Kempeneers
Serge Kempeneers was born in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe and is, as he puts it, "a child on the other side of the canal". He is a Doctor of Science and has studied urban ecology with Professor Paul Duvigneaud. He joined the Brussels Institute for Environmental Management (now Brussels Environment) in 1995, where he is the Director of Green Spaces Division. His team developed the concept of green and blue mesh for Brussels and implemented it, as well as ecological management, vegetable plots, participatory approaches, etc.
He will take nature lovers on a morning walk through the King Baudouin Park in Jette at 9:30.
