‘Concerto Copenhagen’

26 Nov.'16
- 20:00

Jordi Savall and Concerto Copenhagen have drawn on the elements as their inspiration for this concert. The works featured on the programme come from every corner of the globe, from England via Italy and Germany to France, while they are all linked by their themes: weather and wind! Jean-Féry Rebel may be the least known of the five composers – In fact the Frenchman is known solely because of …Les Eléments. In this work you can hear how the dawn of the world might have sounded, with the focus on the four elements, earth, water, air and fire. If there was anything “in the beginning” it was pure chaos, according to Rebel. The overture to Les Eléments, called Le Cahos, almost has an atonal sound.
