For one night only, the Centre for Fine Arts will be transformed into a nightclub. Switch from one auditorium to another and curate your own musical experience at Club Night.
Klara Lewis’ music is a particularly personal combination of field recordings and abstract, rhythmic textures that she slowly but surely sculpts into hybrid soundscapes. Although her complex approach is difficult to describe, the Swedish composer certainly belongs to the digital avant-garde in today’s musical landscape. She succeeds time and time again in guiding her sound to places that are warm, undulating and pure. Over the past ten years, Lewis has produced both tender and raw albums for Editions Mego and worked with Nik Colk Void and Peder Mannerfelt. Her album Salt Water (2024), a collaboration with Yuki Tsujii (Bo Ningen’s guitarist), combines hypnotising loops with disruptive noise. On 27 September, she will release her newest record: Thankful, once again on Editions Mego.
This concert is part of Club Night during our Opening Week 24-25. Keep an eye on this page for the full programme. A ticket to Club Night gives you access to all the concerts and shows, but please bear the limited capacity of our auditoria in mind.
