‘Chantal Acda & The Atlantic Drifters’

27 Sept.'24
- 20:30

Chantal Acda’s latest album, Silently Held, is a genuine musical refuge. It is a raw, authentic representation of vulnerability, but also acceptance: “I always silently held my darker being. My doubts, my fragility. With this album I slowly started to accept this side of myself.” This intimate recording by an all-star cast – with Bill Frisell and Colin Stetson among its ranks – is the work of a seasoned musician. Besides singing with Isbells, Acda has had an impressive career as a solo artist. She has always sought and found unique collaborations with leading international artists, from Nils Frahm and Peter Broderick to Shahzad Ismaily. On Silently Held, Acda’s musicians, the Atlantic Drifters, underpin her fragile sound with subtle touches. Every note, every word creates an incomparable space where imperfection is not merely acknowledged but celebrated.
