The Viennese Schools : from Haydn to Beethoven, Schoenberg and Webern

If you have never seen the European Union Youth Orchestra perform, then mark this day in your diary. Founded in 1976, the ensemble brings together the cream of Europe's young musicians. It has toured the world under renowned conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Herbert von Karajan, Leonard Bernstein, and Daniel Barenboim. At BOZAR, we will hear a chamber line-up, in an intimate repertoire that focuses on the master of the string quartet, Joseph Haydn, and early works by the modern composers Arnold Schoenberg and Anton Webern.
