This season, we are honoured to include her in a programme that is close to her heart: Italian music of the 18th century. Great composers such as Porpora, Hasse, Händel and Leo gave birth to the most beautiful arias in the operatic repertoire of the time. They turned to the castrati, true demigods of the stage, to perform arias that challenged their breathtaking virtuosity.
