‘Cartoon Masterclass’

8 Oct.'17
- 13:30

Arab Cartoon Festival

The Arab Cartoon Festival wants to open its doors to cultures from around the world, encouraging a debate on the positive aspects and the dark sides. Cartoons make us laugh, talk, play, they inspire exchanges and help us better understand who we are.

And that is where Khalid Albaih, Sara Qaed and Emad Hajjaj come in. Together with a workshop assistant, you will explore new routes, on the crossroads between the Arab world and Belgium. They look forward to new encounters. And show you how you can use the materials, art forms and themes of the festival to adopt your own position. The themes include the confrontation and dialogue between various cultures, the debate on refugees, the tension between democracy and dictatorships, the power of the media, and more.
